Well…the jig is up…
I’m pretty sure the HR department of my job knows the other me…
I knew this was inevitable, but I had hoped it would not happen this soon.
Fuck me to tears…
This does worry me a bit, I like being employed and having the ability to eat and keep a roof over my head, which is why I would never post the name or location of where I work or name anyone I know, which affords me, my job and anyone I blog about anonymity.
I’m kinda sad about this.
This blog was something I started for several reasons.
These are some of em:
The ability to vent any anger or frustration I feel.
I learned several years ago after taking a ride in an ambulance from my job to the ER with what was initially suspected to be a heart attack that you have got to get any troubling shit on your mind out.
If you let it sit and stew you are only hurting yourself.
I’m not saying you should name and trash the lady who sits next to you and has stinky B. O., I’m saying your frustrations about anything in life, job, kids, husband, traffic, anything should not sit and stew inside of you and create poison.
The desire to say anything and everything I feel or think.
Its a an awesome, empowering feeling to say what’s on my mind.
You know all those naughty things you think but would never say out loud?
Like “Oh wow, my boyfriend gives me the big O’, or “my boy spawn is an enormous pain in the ass”, “My boss is an asshole”, “My neighbor is a dickhead”, etc.
This blog has afforded me the opportunity to post any cuss words I want.
Fuck, shit, hell, damn and piss are really not so bad when you put ’em in perspective…granted, you must have a perverse perspective, buy hey, whatever, different strokes for different folks.
My old director at this job talked to me once about perception.
We all have a different perception.
Case in point:
Tonight I received a message from a lady who wanted me to remove the picture I posted here about National Asshole Awareness Day.
She said she found it offensive.
Umm…hello? Have ya read any of my posts here?
I coulda been a bitch to her, but what purpose would that serve? She would get upset and angry, I would be annoyed and want to hit the bottle hard.
Just so ya know, I am hittin the bottle hard, at glass #3 of Prosecco cuz I admit it, I’m just a teensy bit nervous about gettin the boot.
Anyway, back to the lady…I told her no, I would not remove it, that if’n she reads the “about” section of this page, I clearly state I am by no means Julie Andrews here…(for you youngsters, Julie Andrews was the star of the Sound of Music and was considered very goody 2 shoes…If you still don’t have a clue as to who she is, GTS her… remember, that means, “Google that shit”.
Her perception…the lady who sent me the message thought I was a disgusting pig. She coulda been shitty but she wasn’t and I respect that.
My perception…I think she’s a bit of a tight-ass. I coulda been all shitty and told her to kiss my big fat ass, but I’m not gonna be all dickish to her.
Am I a dramatic bitter old cat lady who talks lotsa shit?
Hell yes.
Am I going to stop?
Hell no.
Am I a tacky, crass, rude, ill tempered nasty old bitch?
As my fave politician says, “You betcha”….GAWD, please know that I am kidding here, Sarah Palin is NOT a fave, she makes me feel ashamed to have boobs.
Am I a tacky, crass, rude, ill tempered nasty old bitch at work?
Hell no.
We all wear different hats for different things that we do in life.
Most women can relate.
Are you the same PTA mom persona at home or at your job?
Do you eat at the table in a restaurant differently than at the table at home?
Freedom of speech?
Yes…and no…
That pertains to the government, not here.
The National Labor Relations Act protects the rights of employees to communicate with each other about the terms and conditions of their employment. This right applies whether the workplace is unionized or not. If a group of employees post comments criticizing management or their working conditions, for example, that might be found to be protected concerted activity, for which the employees may not be disciplined or fired.
Retaliation. There are federal and state laws to protect employees from retaliation for reporting certain types of problems (discrimination, harassment, unsafe working conditions, and so on). If an employee reports a problem online, and the company takes action against the employee based on the post, that could constitute illegal retaliation
Yeah…I researched this a bit before I started here, but like I said, I did not think I would be found out so soon.
If they decide to dump me, so be it…
I will cry and be sad, but I will survive.
Shit, if I can survive being dumped while 7 months pregnant with a 5 1/2 year old and jobless, I can survive anything.
Fuck em if they can’t take a joke.
